Thinning hair in men is usually diagnosed as male pattern baldness. Did you know that according to some studies; there are 9 out of 10 men who have this kind of hair condition? For those men who cannot accept hair loss, there are still many options available like wearing of wigs, hair pieces and hair weaves. There are also hair treatments available to help treat this hair condition. The common treatment is Minoxidil (Rogaine), this is a hair solution that one can apply directly to the scalp and the affected area. Its purpose is to prevent hair loss and to stimulate new hair growth; the only problem with this treatment is that you need to use it permanently because putting a halt to its application would mean that hair loss problem would be a problem again. Another treatment that is available for men is the Finasteride (Propecia, Proscar), this is in the form of a tablet or pill that would be taken orally. Just like the minoxidil, hair loss would reoccur if this treatment is stopped.

Despite the fact that this medical procedure is quite expensive, can cause some scarring and some infections; most men are willing to undergo hair transplants because the results are quite good and is actually permanent.
